<Domenic> Meanwhile I'm still trying to get Chrome to remove its non-standard Promise methods
<annevk> Domenic: oh, I thought that happened?
<annevk> Domenic: are they still behind a flag or some such?
<Domenic> nope, i was told it would, and then it did not
<Domenic> they are there shipping in public
<Domenic> in your Chrome console you have Promise.defer, Promise.accept, and Promise.prototype.chain.
<Domenic> Very embarassing and ridiculous.
<annevk> In the console only?
<Domenic> no, no, on public web pages too
<Domenic> who knows, maybe this is why Inbox is Chrome-only. (Probably not.)
<annevk> whoa no
<annevk> V8's release process is broken after all

<sfink> Ok. That's freaky.
<sfink> I just fired up Chrome, and noticed a microphone icon in the search box of the home page.
<sfink> So I clicked on it, curious, and found that it really was getting data from my microphone
<sfink> I tapped my thumb on the laptop a few times.
<lurking> O_O
<mbrubeck> what did the speech recognition think of that?
<sfink> As a result, it searched for "poop poop poop".
<sfink> I am not making any of this up. -

* glacierwolf is so glad she doesn't work for Microsoft. Those poor devils are having a PR nightmare right about now.
<Tanner> lol
<glacierwolf> And why were we the lucky ones to get hit with a bad bug? :/
<glacierwolf> Why couldn't they screw with Safari or Google Chrome?
